The concept of “personal use” also refers to the use of freight on the gifts, but their sale is a violation of law and threatens of confiscation them with an additional penalty. Confiscation may also be the vehicle by which the goods are transported.
For example, the transported goods are considered for personal use, if they do not exceed prescribed limits:
- 800 cigarettes
- 200 cigars / 1kg of tobacco
- 10 liters of spirits
- 20 liters of wine with increased alcohol content (eg. Sherry, port-wine)
- 90 liters of wine (including a maximum of 60 liters of sparkling wine)
- 110 liters of beer.
