Festa del Redentore

Redentore celebration is a local holiday in Venice, held every year on the third Sunday of July.
Was established shortly after bubonic plague stopped in 1576. A characteristic feature of this festival is to build a bridge of boats, which links Venice with Giudecca island. On Saturday evening also held a fireworks show, and since 2007 the Festa del Redentore celebration is also accompanied by music. In addition, throughout Venice are exposed tables laden with food, because the feast is accompanied by feasting.
